Your moments stay on your device by default, with optional iCloud sync. Photo selection and face matching happen on your phone. Sharing a preview, continuing in a browser, or ordering a book uploads the content needed for that feature. We do not sell your personal information or use your family photos for advertising.
How does Smalldays make a photo book?
Capture photos, notes, and voice recordings as life happens. Smalldays selects photos and arranges the pages on your iPhone. Add your own captions, review the book, and order when you are ready.
How do voice notes show up in the book?
Each voice note is transcribed, and the words appear on the page as a caption or a pulled quote in your own voice. The audio stays in the app.
Is the app only for making the book?
No. The app is where your small days live all year — a running timeline of photos, notes, and voice memos. On This Day resurfaces memories. Growth tracking keeps the numbers you'd otherwise lose. A book is what happens whenever you want one.
Can I make more than one book?
As many as you like. Any date range, a single trip, an album, or a whole year — and extra copies for the grandparents. You can check the price for each book in the app before ordering.
How much will physical books cost?
Physical books start at $87. Prices vary by book style, size, page count, and cover options, with premium linen books priced separately. Check the app for current options and your exact price before ordering. The app is free.
How long does printing take?
Your book is printed and on its way within 4–7 business days.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Turn on iCloud Sync — it uses Apple's encrypted CloudKit infrastructure, and Smalldays never has access to synced data.
Is there an Android version?
We're starting on iPhone so we can get the details right. Android parents can join the waitlist — you'll hear from us the moment it's ready.
